The lack of screening of the lawns by solid walls or plantings in this underdeveloped suburb is viewed as both a positive and negative. The green grass sparkles like an oasis against the backdrop of the dry countryside, in the midst of a years-long severe drought. But the lawns are exposed to wind, which in this region is frequently severe enough to hamper play.
